2026 Tacloban school shooting

As of writing, this took place today

Two (at this time not named) teenagers did a school shooting at the San Jose National High School in Tacloban, Philippines. Three students were killed and 5-13 others were injured (reports vary).

The suspects are aged 14-15, one of which was a student, the other perpetrator was enrolled into presumably another school

A fourth victim died yesterday. Six people were shot in total, two non fatally. Interestingly enough, the shooting seems to have been perpetrated entirely by the 14 year old suspect who fired all but one of the rounds during the attack.

This means the 15 year old suspect, who seemed to have more experience with firearms, got cold feet and yet will be prosecuted as a criminal. The 14 year old, the one who did all the killing, is too young to be charged as a criminal under Filipino law.
