On 30th June, 2026 an Ukrainian-Jewish oligarch was injured & sustained burns and was in a life threatening conidition along with his lover and 13 year old son who sustained non life threatening injuries after an unidentified attacker at the time placed a parcel bomb disguised as a backpack filled with rusting sharpnel on the front entrance on the apartment, waiting for them to return home. After the suspect saw them enter, the suspect detonated the explosive injuring 3, 2 critically including the Oligarch Vadim Yermolaev (the target) and his lover. The suspect fled to France. Some days later, the suspect was identified as 39 year old Ukrainian woman Anastasiia Berezovska residing in Germany, an interpol international manhunt was launched to find her as they had an arrest warrant active for her. Days later they found her body in Kyiv after she was shot dead in the head. A Ukrainian intelligence officer confessed to the killing of her and the investigation is still ongoing. This is the first ever incident like this to happen in Monaco ever.
